This beginner’s class will introduce you to what herbalism is and learn about your first handful of herbs that I commonly use. We will talk about Materia Medica which includes the properties, naming, usage of the herbs – a few of my favorites include Nettles, Oat Buds, Dandelion and more to get your herbal medicine cabinet started! We will also talk about types of herbal preparations, terminology and resources for you. We will look at the herbs and also do some tasting! This class is intended for beginners but all are welcome.
