There is more to herbalism than just learning about herbs and their functions! In this 2-hour class, we will discuss ethics, differences in types of preparations of herbs and how to use them, storage & materials, how to understand literature (what is Materia Medica), some principles in diagnosing, resources and a few herbs to start you out with (Nettles, Calendula, Chamomile, Lemon Balm & Oats). This is a great class to help you understand where to begin with herbs and to help you find resources to continue your journey. A follow-up to this class will be Feb 3rd (10 Herbs for Beginners).
Cost includes handout and tea tasting.
