This beginner’s class will introduce you to what herbalism is and learn about your first handful of herbs that I commonly use. We will talk mostly about Materia Medica which includes the properties, naming, usage of the herbs and different preparation methods – a few of my favorites include Nettles, Oat Buds, Dandelion and more to get your herbal medicine cabinet started! We will look at the herbs and also do some tasting! This class is intended for beginners but all are welcome.

My background is in Chinese and Western herbology, but this class will be mostly about Western herbs. I will have some classes on Chinese herbalism soon in the future!
